"Sustainability Strategies for People, Profit, & Planet"
9/27-28 at LTU in Southfield
This conference will bring together PEOPLE — architects, engineers, entrepreneurs, homeowners, educators, students and those responsible for non-profit buildings and houses of worship--to explore ‘green’ solutions for PROFIT and the PLANET. AIA and GBCI Continuing Education credits are available, and discounted early-bird registration lasts until September 13! Our Keynote Speakers are: Terry Gips, a widely published ecologist, agricultural economist, sustainability business consultant, and speaker with more than 30 years experience in global environmental leadership, policy, sustainable development, and business management; and William Spratley, an Ohio-based advocate for environmentally and economically sustainable energy policies and practices who has served on the U.S. Secretary of Energy Advisory Boards under three U.S. Presidents. The conference topics will assist attendees in meeting their sustainability goals, and include a wide range of topics, such as: Energy Efficiency Tips/Techniques, Urban Gardening, Efficient Lighting Options, Interfaith Theories on Faith & Sustainability, The Living Building Challenge (TM), Resource Reuse in Detroit, EPA Portfolio Manager Utilities Tracking Workshop, and much more.
