AIA Huron Valley President's Picnic
Saturday July 15, 2017 3:00-7:00pm
The Angelini's House (1315 Beechwood Drive, Ann Arbor, MI)
To all AIAHV members and families
Please join us for a casual afternoon picnic hosted by our President Brad Angelini and his wife Theresa at their home in Ann Arbor’s Upper Water Hill neighborhood. The President’s picnic is a great opportunity to catch up with your AIA colleagues and talk about our accomplishments as well as our plans for the future of the organization, all the while enjoying an afternoon of good food and drink.
This year AIAHV will provide a foundational set of dishes for our meal and we ask that you consider bringing a side dish as a complement. This is not a requirement. Those of you, who enjoy cooking, bring your favorite dish. As usual, AIAHV will make sure that there is plenty to drink.
Our eclectic menu, provided by AIAHV, will include smoked brisket, roasted vegetables (including tofu), a green-leaf salad, a quinoa / broccoli salad, coleslaw, and a large pan of paella. There will also be an array of designer cookies for dessert.
Lastly, there is a little business we need to accomplish at the picnic. Due to some AIA Michigan changes over the last few years we would like to change our by-laws to simply move our election of officers to earlier in the year. This change will allow AIAMI to know who our officers are earlier and will allow our officers to participate in leadership events typically scheduled for the fall, before they take their seats. This discussion should be quick and our business will be concluded as fast as possible, so that we can enjoy the picnic and everyone’s company.
On behalf of the AIA Huron Valley Board, we would like to invite all of you to attend, along with your families. And if you have never been to an AIAHV event, this is a great place to start. Please RSVP with the number of attendees, as well as the dish you are figuring to bring, and help to make this party a big success.
Looking forward to seeing everyone!
